Twice a year, at the end of each semester of the Young Author Project, Deep’s young authors vote on the deepest, bravest, and most vivid writer in their workshops. The four young authors with the most votes become finalists for Deep Laureate, and the Deep community votes in the final round to help Deep staff members determine the Laureate for that semester. Honorees are announced at the fall and spring Deep Speaks every year.
