Sam Poole – Site Coordinator

Samuel (Sam-Yoo-El) Poole, aka SIP TheE Poet, aka One, is a dynamic artist and change-maker born and raised in Savannah, Georgia. Born in 2000, Samuel’s journey with the arts began in the 6th grade at DeRenne Middle School when he became involved with Deep. His passion for creative expression grew as he continued to engage with all of Deep’s extended programs at Alfred Ely Beach High School.
Upon attending Winston-Salem State University, Samuel founded his own poetry organization, the Truth Seekers, creating a platform for voices like his to be heard. As the oldest of four on his mother Alexandria Scott’s side and the youngest of three on his father Lazarus Poole’s side, Samuel draws strength from his family roots.
A seasoned Slam poet, Samuel has competed in numerous cities and states, using his words to inspire and challenge. Beyond the stage, he serves as a U.S. Army Soldier, embodying discipline and dedication in all aspects of his life. As a Black man, Samuel aspires to create lasting change, motivating others to rise above challenges and embrace their true potential. His work is a testament to the power of resilience, creativity, and unwavering belief in the possibility of a better world.
