Dr. Bernadette Ball-Oliver is a native of Savannah, Georgia and was educated in the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System. She is a proud graduate of Alfred E. Beach High School, attended Spelman College and completed her degree in English at Savannah State University. She attained my Masters, Ed. Leadership from Georgia Southern University.
Dr. Ball-Oliver has been a teacher, administrator and central level leader for 35 years in the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System. She recently retired as the Deputy Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, and has served as the Executive Director of School Turnaround for A. E. Beach, the local district’s first Turnaround high school. She has served on the board for the Salvation Army and is a professional member of the AASA, The School Superintendents Association, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development,National Association of Secondary Principals, Georgia Association, Georgia Association of Educational Leaders. Lastly, she is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and is proud to serve in the district that provided me with the foundation to pursue a career she loves.
