As an organizer and a person, Socks Rizk is an explorer of art, community, and nature. Their journey began when they enrolled at Georgia Southern University Armstrong campus where they focused their studies on Communication with a minor interest in writing. After joining Deep’s Young Author Program a fire was ignited in them.
Since, they have thrown themselves into grassroots organizing for the communities around them. Working with community stakeholders to host protests, food drives, clothing swaps, and informational booths. As lifetime learner with much to discover they look forward to growing in tandem with the community of Savannah.
